Lucas has already been exposed as a solid, good, basic fighter.
nobody has a picnic when they fight him. Garcia-Matthysse was a competitive fight. isn't that what we want? competitive fights? who wants fights like Garcia- Salka? or that punching bag Peterson fought?

Matthysse was never hit on the chin by Molina. Where did you get that?
Are you a brainless worker with no education who can barely speak English?
Are you also in denial about all aspects of your life?
If you fail to see the truth in Boxing, you also fail to see it in your own life and that cannot possibly be good for you.
Why don't you go back and watch Matthysse and Molina again and tell me that Matthysse was hit on the chin?

i like Lucas but I am starting to see what haters of Lucas fans see (not Lucas himself, it's all about the fans) SEE.

He had never gone down before. He has gone down 3 times last two fights. Yes Molina punches big, but it's not like he has concussive power (Bay never went down int he 12).

You guys are acting like Lucas had never been hit by a big puncher before or rabbit punched or temple punched. Whatever the case, these shots this time brought him down. And he DID get hit in the chin very hard in the 1st.

Yes, he mowed Molina. He destroyed him and recovered great. Love that about him and a big fan of his.

But his punch resistance is for the meantime in question. Didn't used to be. Things change.

If Floyd, Danny, Hopkins, ANYONE had gone down 3 times in 2 fights, it would be obvious to some of you that there are now questions.

How can you measure his punch resistance when he's being clubbed in the back of the head? People are calling him chinny when he's not even being hit anywhere in his face, let alone his chin.

Chin doesn't mean only "chin" but general punch resistance.

Of course he got hit on the temple and back of head. But do you think he never got hit like that before? ever?

the first kd against molina was not anywhere near the back of his head.

more to the point: I am not saying he has a weak chin now. I am saying the fact that he went down 3 times in 2 fights at least produces the possibility that his resistance has gone down.

not sure how that's debatable, at all

The kd in the Gift fight was a push. The first kd in the Molina fight was a temple shot, Matthysse never had a problem admitting that rung his bell. The second was behind the head but he still went down harder than when gift pushed him down off the ropes.

I just think it's a slight over reaction, a temple shot is a critical shot, as is a club to the back of the head. Imo, he gets a pass on those. If he starts to get dropped with more shots to the temple O would see his defense is in question more so than his punch resistance. And a shot in the back if the head is a shot in the back of the head. Alot of guys go down from that for a moment, and the refs count it.
