Its always good to take every opponent as a threat, thats gonna be Roach's JOB and Mannys to follow.

I have nothing against Algieri and hope him the best but not on that particular night when both he and Pac square off.

Arum was right on this one, Algieri even favors Tunney

Arum has balls of titanium so greatly offending the Gods of Boxing, this close to his own mandatory life expiration. A promise to you all, within 3 months of Arums death, I will post a picture of one of my turds on Bob's grave.

No, I've seen three full Algieri fights, and he's not that good. And that was against competition levels below a Manny Pacquiao. This fight is a joke.

While I think Algieri is a legit match up and not a mismatch like others are saying bob has gone nuts in his old age. There's so many differences between the two situations

I've seen Algeri twice, against Taylor and Provo. And IMO neither of those fights were close. The KDs combined with the ridiculously ****** 10 point must system made the scoring in the Provo fight close. But I thought Algeri controlled the fight. Either way, I think you're missing my point. Yes, in paper the fight is a mismatch. But so was Algeri-Provo. But until we find a level of comp that Chris can't compete at. Everything else is just a guess. No matter how educated the guess may be.

I'm not hating on the match-up, only the hypocrisy of Arum (and some posters here) who had so much to say about Floyd choosing to fight the WBA Welterweight Champion (Maidana), yet Manny is facing the WBO Jr. Welterweight Champion (Algeri) which no one knew existed until he narrowly survived a match with Provodnikov.

Arum has been alive so long that he probably attended the Dempsey-Tunney fight and hes also senile enough because of his age that he thinks PAC- Algieri resembles Dempsey-Tunney. Arum needs to stop embarrassing himself talking like this.

Nice to see you have such class. Oh BTW, may wanna think that over. Clue: It has your DNA in it, and you've just announced the 'blessed event' will happen. Just sayin', Einstein.

In promoting the upcoming November welterweight bout between Manny Pacquiao and unbeaten Chris Algieri, Hall of Fame promoter reached all the way back to the 1920s to draw a proper parallel.

Algieri is the unbeaten fighter here but he's the one with nothing to loose.
