Admitting it and doing something to change it are two different things.

The other bodies will not give up their champs & $$ from sanctioning fees. Silaiman has saod WBC doesn't allow unification bouts, he seems 2 b caught in the middle...But wouldn' 1 champ per division b great w/ many valid contenders, like my old days? But it won' t happen...

To those who say there should be one champ per weight class: read this and be enlightened: http://ucnlive.com/square-jungle-august-15-2014/

One champ per division is an outdated concept. If anything, having multiple titlists is good for boxing (fighters and fans alike).

That's the only way things will ever change. If these crooks are forced to change simply due to circumstances, but I won't hold my breath. The WBA said they were lowering their belt number last year and as we've seen, they've continued business as usual, awarding Super and Regular champs left and right.

                BKB = real boxing

The type of boxing we have right now is wwe style boxing. It's all a corrupt and badly scripted show. BKB is true reality with none of the fakery lies.
BKB is nice. Much less room for holding and other stalling tactics. Boxing as we see it otherwise is more like grappling in comparison.

If you have ONE Organization, ONE World Champion at the top of each weight class, it will encourage better title defenses, AND the Number 1 Contender will always get a Mandatory shot at the title. Your Champion defends against who he wants as often as he wants during the year, BUT one of those defenses HAS to be against the Number 1 Contender.

So here's a hypothetical: if Gennady is your MW Champion and he wants to fight 3 times in 2015, that's fine if he wants to fight 4 times. ONE of those fights WILL be against the divisions No.1 Contender, let's say that's Cotto. So GGG can fight Rubio, Quillin, Macklin during the year but he's going to defend against No.1 Cotto somewhere in the calendar year, so plan accordingly.

If you're Mayweather atop the board, and you want to fight Maidana and you only plan to fight twice a year, then fight Maidana, but you will fight a mandatory No.1 Manny Pacquiao before year end.

If you're Amir Khan, and you've just moved up to 147... You're going to have to do more than just beat an unranked Welterweight named Collazo to earn a title shot. So figure out who in that Top 5 you want to beat up to get in contention for a possible title shot.

If you're Brandon Rios, Mike Alvarado, Zab Judah, you aren't in anyone's Top 10, so figure out who to fight and how to earn your way into that company.

It's the way Boxing used to be. You get the best fights, the most title defenses. The title defenses are REAL competitive defenses. The top 10 contenders will have to fight more against one another to position themselves for a title shot or fight the No.1 Contender in hopes of knocking him out of that mandatory spot for a title shot. And the guys at 12, 13, 14... Need to fight someone in the Top 10, and fight like hell to knock someone out, in order to break in themselves.

And if you're in that No.1 you gotta fight; you can't just sit there. If you stall and don't fight, you lose your No.1 ranking.

A change like that for Boxing is long overdue. The timing is actually great for Mayweather, because by the time they pull something together like that, he's out of Boxing and he'll agree its a helluva idea! Because it doesn't pertain to him. He'd even allow Everlast MX Gloves then!! Lol.

Seriously create ONE organization merging all the organizations together as one. Take Sulamain and each organization President, to form a Board for the one organization, and they collectively rank fighters every month. Now you have ONE belt/One Champion, and let Arum, GBP, Haymon, and any other promoter figure out who they can promote their guy to fight to move up the latter for a title shot, and if they have a champion, figure out who they will fight, and take notice as to who No.1 is because they will defend against No.1 before years end.

Of course this is just a quick scratch of possibilities, but these top fighters and promoters would be forced to fight one another, and champions forced to defend once a year against the No1 Contender.
I LOVE reading posts like this one. You sir know what you are talking about. Refreshing to read sensible posts like this rather than the usual trolling and hot air blown by know it nots. Green k'd you for outlining the possibilities of what boxing could be like with 1 main champion for those numbskulls who will only troll the idea or talk bad about Sulaiman. For once he is saying some real **** that we can and should appreciate.

                  Kudo's bruv!

So you are actually in favor of having multiple world champions in each weight class? I couldn't disagree more, that's the worst cancer in the sport as far as I'm concerned.
