50 cent approached Mayweather with a challenge to read a page of the Harry Potter book. The challenge, he presented Mayweather with, is a parody of a legitimate cause (ALS). The fact that 50 Cent used the trend, deriving from a legitimate cause, to attack someone is classless.

Now what 50 Cent did was classless; the best way way of dealing with a classless act is to show class. Mayweather could have shown class by giving 50 Cent a subtle reminder that the trend was meant to help people with ALS.

Bob Arum was right about one thing, casuals (who are the majority of PPV purchasers), only buy the PPV for the main event. They don't even bother to watch the rest of the card a lot of the time.

So with that being said, Mayweather vs Maidana II could have easily been ONLY promoted by Mayweather Promotions if they simply had Maidana sign a short term contract with Mayweather Promotions. Right now Maidana is not tied to Golden Boy, he's an Al Haymon managed fighter only. So ideally they could have done this same exact card but under the "Mayweather Promotions" banner, but instead it's co-promoted because they needed to add Santa Cruz, Angulo, and Molina to the picture.

He is NOT A GOLDEN BOY PROMOTED FIGHTER. He is a Mayweather Promotions fighter, who uses the services of a Golden Boy promoted co-promoted event to stack the undercard.

So if Floyd is using Goldenboys services, why isn't Floyd cutting Goldenboy a check? Why is it the other way around?
