It's funny how opinions change. A while ago, DeGale was widely labeled as a bum on NSB, who fights in leisure centers on Channel 5.

Then he signs with Hearn & knocks out a decent but limited Gonzales and he's suddenly the favorite against the Cobra!

Tbf i've always regarded DeGale as the most talented of the British SMW's and i could definitely see him outpointing an aging Froch.

I was really hoping that Carl would get his dream fight in Las Vegas, i'm gutted for him.

Lean towards Froch and hope he does it, but as a fan this has 'disaster' written all over it. He wont be able to get up for this fight, it is at London O2 which is DeGale's backyard and it is a massive step down from Wembley. Hearn has not delivered for Carl - he deserves a big American fight not this.

Hearn could have even got the fight at Nottingham Forrest stadium, in Carl's hometown to try and make it a special night.

Interesting fight. DeGale has better defence and quicker hands than Groves, but doesn't have the power or explosiveness.
