Comments Thread For: Avila vs. Frias FS1 Early Results From Fairfield, CA

Local heavyweight Gerald Washington kept his unbeaten record intact, though some will argue that home cooking was involved in his taking a unanimous decision over veteran Nagy Aguilera in an eight-round bout Friday evening in Fairfeld, California.

Scores were 78-74 (twice) and 77-75 in favor of Washington in their Fox Sports 1-televised co-feature bout. [Click Here To Read More]

Frias sucks. Gets hit with everything and keeps his elbows waaaaayyyyyy too far apart from his body.

Avila just rocked him. Nice fundamentals, crisp shots. This is Frias chance of a lifetime though, I want to see him storm back like a Mexican warrior and take over the fight.

Avila is either too confident or fading.

Tino still winning the fight and boxing beautifully but Frias boxing smarter, he will come back if you let him, great fight thus far. Find myself rooting for Frias.

Frias hit him with a bomb at the end of round 4 that got me excited. Frias is starting to hit him with vicious shots, I see this taking a toll in Tino in a few rounds. Tino is just not active enough he is trying to skate through rounds. I love how Frias attempted that basic but effective 1-1-2 on Tino, my pants got a little tighter when I saw that.
