Comments Thread For: Mijares Hopes Jhonny Gonzalez Clash Comes Through

As previously reported, a fight between WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (56-8, 47 KOs) and former four division beltholder Jorge Arce (64-7-2, 49 KOs) is now in serious doubt of taking place as planned for September 20th in Los Mochis.

There is a major issues with agreement for the broadcast rights. TV Azteca, who showcase Arce, are not wiling to share the rights with rival network Televisa, who showcase Gonzalez.

"Cmon Man" how does Arce or Mijares get a title shot, thats bullcrap.

I think if Mares the #1 contender doesn't want to fight or exercise his rematch cluase then I think the # 2 contender Jayson Velez should get the shot at the title. Is it his fault his ranked number 2 of the WBC featherweights.I think Jhonny is looking for money and the easier fights until the Mares rematch to cash in on big payday.

Another crap fight by a titleholder. These guys are seeking them out at this point. The cherry farm has more supply than demand.
