I blame the parents first and foremost, the environment, the drugs, the liquor stores in every corner(basically the community). Floyd did alright for himself to stay away from drug dealing or becoming an alcoholic or drug user, that I know of. The guy can't read but he did alright for himself. Just saying, the combination **** neighborhoods, uneducated parents and **** public schools lead to **** education.
I agree with everything you're saying up until the bold part, and it annoys me like hell as someone who wants the West to be able to compete with other countries who dont breed excuse-makers.

You pointed out exclusively 'outward' factors (parents, neighbourhood, schooling). Well of course this is true, this is basic sociology, but to entirely leave out all 'inward' factors (drive, endurance, discipline) is symptomatic of somebody who doesnt know what it takes to be competitive, and who would rather complain and feel sad, as you do. It's weak, impotent and boyish, and its sad that the West has so many of your type around.

Living in the hood is something very very difficult to overcome and not everyone can do it even if they try. People use it as an excuse yes, but there are some pretty valid points to never getting out of it, it isn't easy. I didn't live with my parents until I was 6 years old and when I finally stopped living with multiple family members I was alone from morning until I went to bed. Finally at 12 I actually saw my parents on a regular basis, I am not some rich bast*rd but I made something of myself. I have a lot of... I won't say friends but I know a few people still living in the ****** selling dope to make a living. It's best you really don't talk about something you have no experience in.
I have a whole lot of understanding for everything you said. If I come off as a dismissive douche who isnt understanding of the impact of society on an individual, then id be wrong for that. I want to be dismissive only of people who exclusively see the outward (upbringing, bad community etc) yet ignore the inward (perseverance, discipline etc), because i feel that it breeds disempowerment and failure. Your story is actually pretty awesome.

What I'm saying is instead of blaming people for not seeing their inner potential, or basically being a d*ck, show them, guide them, help them. Yes, most people will tell you to **** off because there are only racist white cops and rich men trying to keep you down. But guess what... none of what they said is wrong, that happens in our society and when that's all you see it's you what learn.

                • I'm far from a fan of Floyd and have been very critical of him but this is just sad and not something that should be made fun of. hopefully he uses this as fuel to improve his reading skills.

                  • Thank you Pac-Boy, Floyd is happy knowing you spent hours talking about him and spreading unfunny memes about him. That's great exposure for his upcoming PPV.

Racist white cops and rich men trying to keep you down? LOL. Well then stop being subservient and weak, get organised and industrious and stop being held down like impotent men.

I would feel shame if I were being held down, and I wouldnt discuss that shame because that would bring more shame. Id channel it, and use it for drive. But I am a winner, and you are Mr Average by your admission, so it's expected that we'd have different vantage points on this.
