Comments Thread For: Hearn: Amir Khan is Very Interested in Fighting Brook

Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) has expressed a lot of interest in facing IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs), according to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport. In the past, Khan has had little to no interest in considering a fight with Brook.

Hearn intends to bring Brook back on December 6th in Sheffield. Khan is slated to fight on the same day in the United States. If both continue to win, Hearn would love to make a fight between the two of them for next summer.

Khan is "suddenly" interested, because Brook only became relevant yesterday.

This fight may not happen next summer either since, December isn't going to work out. I guess Alexander or Guerrero it is then and granted Khan pulls through then it will be about the Mayweather fight and not Kell.

I think Hearn, Brook, Khan & company will get this fight done. Amir Khan's 2nd biggest pay-day is staring him in the face and if he wins, he'll be IBF champion and look extremely attractive to Floyd Mayweather for his next fight.

I would take this fight if I'm Khan and I'm sure Showtime Sports would be more than happy to put up the money to put the fight on in the Untied States. I would be pumped for this fight and I think it would do huge at Wembley Stadium, it wouldn't sell it out but I think it would match Froch vs. Groves II.

Sah-weet. I think they both knew the fight would happen, Amir Khan was just holding back to see if Kell Brook would get exposed on the world scene beforehand. I genuinely believe both teams want the fight and it will happen.

          Khan wins

Of course Khan wants the fight now. But lets be honest, the fight is big because Khan will be involved not because of Brook. Even in the UK he is pretty unknown. Khan has fans all over the world, the US loves him and he brings the money. That is why he is a possible FM foe. Brook will have to accept that in boxing the belts dont matter, you get and A and a B side. Khan is an A side fighter against all but FM and Pac so Brook will have to accept that. Yes Sky offered Khan 3m but that was only because they know they fight will make that if Khan in fighting.

Anyway - more importantly, Brook will fight a no body next to make sure the Khan fight stays alive. Khan will fight a name and should be in line to then fight FM if he wins that so the fight may not happen for a while.

Either way i cant see Khan losing to Brook. Khan's glass jaw doesn't exist. Maidana couldnt put him down. At WW he looks big and strong and still fast. If Virgil has tightened up his defense i see nothing but a KO or points win by Khan. Too fast, too strong. Khan has knocked out some top WW. Judah looked like he wanted to cry in the ring with Khan. Maidana lets not forget only survied a KO by Khan due to the bell. Who has Brook actually beaten apart from a crude overrated Porter.

Both Brook and Khan want to fight, they should get the fight on in December rather than in summer. Hearn is being greedy and wants more money from a wembley showdown in summer, but that may not materialize if khan or brook lose in the meantime, is that a risk Brook can afford? He hasnt had a big payday yet!

Fight an exciting fight with Khan in December, try to get a fight with Floyd or Manny, if not have a rematch at Wembley with khan in the summer and get two guaranteed paydays.

Wembley would be great, but it will be too damn cold.
