German welter Rico Mueller (16-1-1) will not be able to fight for the vacant IBO title on September 13 in Bernau and the reason is that the IBO insists that Mueller must fight somebody from the Top 50 in the IBO ratings.
RM Promotionīs matchmaker Mario Pokowietz first secured the services of Polish veteran Rafal Jackiewicz, who is # 49 in the ratings but Rafal pulled out of the fight a few weeks ago to embark on a career in MMA. Then a number of names have been contacted but have said 'no' while others have not been approved by the IBO.
