    LAS VEGAS - Unbeaten heavyweights Luis Ortiz and Lateef Kayode will meet at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to battle for the vacant WBA Heavyweight World Title in the main event of Golden Boy Live! on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes, Golden Boy Promotions and Mayweather Promotions announced today. The fight will be held on Thursday, September 11, just two days Before"MAYHEM: Mayweather vs. Maidana 2" takes over Las Vegas on Saturday, September 13.

      Im confused - vacant WBA heavyweight title ? This is whats killing the sport, the WBA is so $ hungry - these other organisations better check these fools.. in a minute it will only be about the matchups the title will hold no weight

        I'd hate to know I had to fight Kayode. That's like a maze of flailing and swarming. Kayode, Porter, Bika need to go back to their home planet Zoinko and learn how to actually BOX.

              The belt hasn't hold any weight for over 20 years only the Ring, and this has lost some lustre since dlh bought the magazine.

                I love the WBA. Wladimir is the Super Champion. They just had their vacant regular title contested for on July 6 between two very worthy challengers, Ruslan Chagaev and Fres Oquendo. Now their vacant interim title is being contested for 1.5 months later between two more worthy challengers, Luis Ortiz and Lateef Kayode. I wish more sanctioning bodies were like the WBA.
