Algieri got one decent win in his whole career, not even better than Porter, and got the Pacquiao fight. David Diaz had one decent win, against Morales, got the Pac fight.

Why is it a crime when Floyd does it?

Has Floyd ever fought for an IBF title before? I'm not really sure he cares about the belt.

I think if Brook beat Marquez and/or Khan, it would make sense. If he fights someone like Berto or Lopez, then not really.

Rios' style is tailormade for Brook. He just beat a pressure fighter comfortably, so not really sure how you can say he looks uncomfortable. Plus, Rios doesn't being the heat like Porter does.

I couldn't see him lose a round against Rios.

Kell has now dealt with bigger pressure fighters in Jones and Porter.

I'm really not sure how a smaller one like Rios can be too successful...his non existent defence won't help. Still, Rios brings it and doesn't't do dull fights. It would be a nice homecoming scrap.

It would. But rios is really not a welterweight. It would be a nice scrap for sure and Rios has a good chin. Would be interesting to see how he deals with Kell's power.

It would be an easy fight, maybe not as easy as Pac mad it look but it is an easy fight for him, and as you said Rios always brings it.

What's great about this thread is that it seems we are all excited to see what Brook can do when he continues to increase his opposition. I thought Porter would demolish him so now I'm intrigued. Would love to see Brook-Khan in May over Mayweather-Brook/Khan, but at the same time Floyd is running out of opponents so who knows.

A soft defense is cool with me - he deserves it after that fight. But it would be nice to see him slightly tested at least in his next one (aka please no Salka type opponents).
