Lucas doesn't need him. Danny is having a terrible year and Lucas' stock is rising again. He still holds a good position in all the rankings and has already been involved in a strong FOTY candidate. I cannot wait to see his war with massa, which I believe will lead to Postol and a vacant belt.

Danny is making a very good living from fighting old men and taxi drivers. Why on earth would He risk his "0" when it isn't necessary.

Don't say pride or class as Angel or Danny haven't shown those as values they hold in high regard, but they do like money and Danny has said the streets of Philly were tough, so maybe He feels that He has taken all the risks in life already?

If the fight does get made, i think it's a great fight.. I think Danny is alittle more skilled and has a lot more experience and that would be enough to eke out a close decision

I was rooting for Danny when he fought Lucas , and he won.

But there are two problems.

One , the fight was competitive, and Matthysse is not Chavez Sr , in spite f the huge hype he had.

After that Danny ****** , as simple as that. Got outboxed by Herrera, he looked bad , no matter how one scored the fight.

He then went on to fight Salka , a complete and utter farce.

In my opinion Danny has fell in love with his hook, which is not even a hook , not at all a corkscrew, not even a looping shot , it is a wide swing.

It worked for him so far, his timing allowed him to land such a wide shot as a counter, but it won't last for long imo.

Maybe because, on this forum, Garcia's name will forever be linked to Matthysse's due to an unbelievable hype Lucas received aftert the Peterson fight and one of the most hilarious excuse of why he lost from Matthysse's broken hearted fans?
