Tarver is a real man. It would be a beatdown. Don't be influeced by tonight. Joe C fought a bum.
No way Calzaghe can beat Tarver

Lacy is no bum. He was slightly overrated, but not a bum. Joe still has to prove himself great, but he is certainly good and top 10 p4p and MUST be respected.
He could beat Tarver. Tarver is very big though...I don't know.Comment

I always thought Tarver would KO Lacy if they fight. I even said Jermain Taylor if he moves up one of these years would decision Lacy becuz of his boxing skills/mixed power. This will be a good fight if it happens though. 50-50 fight.Comment

First of all, you're an idiot for calling Lacy a "bum."Originally posted by TonyWomackFanTarver is a real man. It would be a beatdown. Don't be influeced by tonight. Joe C fought a bum.
As for Calzaghe-Tarver, it would be a good fight. Tarver's jab would keep Joe under control, but Tarver can get real sluggish and can be outworked. This would be a close decision IMHO. If Joe could repeat the workrate he showed tonight, then I'd favor him against Tarver. Tarver goes defensive a little too much, and Joe is so much more active than anybody Tarver has fought in a long time.Comment

I think the edge goes to Tarver but Calzaghe's awkward punching angles would pose a problem. I could see Tarver being miffed by Calzaghe's awkward punching style yet I see him seeing right through it.Comment

tarver would be bigger than anyone joe has ever faced. antonio walks around at 190-200lbs. tarver is also awkward and rangy...and also a southpaw who is a good counter puncher(i don't know about you, but being a southpaw myself the only thing i hate more is fighting another southpaw...). joe may try to pitty pat and out hustle antonio but it won't be a walk in the park like lacy.Comment
