He's got a lot of potential but Thurman's untested. He's certainly not elite. You're just buying into the same myth that surrounded Porter until last weekend.

Just waiting to see how Thurman performs against an opponent with a name [elite fighter], just waiting but I am not buying into the aforementioned myth you mention, just patiently waiting.

It’s the classic problem… nobody wants to fight a risky battle against a nameless, potentially dangerous opponent. Brook’s had to wait for years for his shot. He should have got that opportunity earlier.

I’ve always thought of him as a much more complete fighter than Khan because in addition to solid skills he can take a punch too. Porter didn’t appear to hurt him once. I think Brook will hold that belt for a while.

His previous fight was against a recently ex-world champ, Senchenko. He's been trying to get his title shot for 3 years. None of the incumbent named fighters would given him a go including Khan. Alexander didn't want to fight him, neither did Porter. Those fights were only made because he was mandatory. That's exactly the classic problem mentioned above. He's relatively unknown but still poses a huge risk. Thurman's has been shut out for the same reason and is only now starting to get traction.

Look how long Pac has been there and how many better names hes fought, and Floyd also! People still criticise Pac and Floyd believe it or not, as well as other boxers whove done far more than you. Khan has a lot to prove still as well, and hes done much more than you without boasting hes arrived.

Now if he starts fighting regularly in the states, fans will get behind him. Please get Khan signed for Wembly Stadium, knock him out early, then let's get on to more credible opponents.

He's definitely arrived. Would love to see him fight Thurman or Guerrero or Danny Garcia, once he blows up Amir Khan.
