I give Joe a lot of respect for handing Lacy a beating, but Hatton beat a far better fighter in Tszyu. Hatton has proved more IMO.

      calzaghe is tidier,
hatton hits harder for the weight,
      two totally different styles,
      cant compare,
now favourite, yes, calzaghe after that performance!
      fight of the year!

        Ricky Hatton.

Joe has the better resume, but Ricky is the most skilled British fighter I've ever seen.

Joe Calzaghe is a better fighter than Ricky Hatton IMO. He's the undisputed middleweight champion, and just completely outclassed and derailed a wrecking ball.

The victory tonight was much more impressive than Hatton's victory over Tszyu.

You're crazy. That's like saying Mayweather-Gatti was FOY material. It was a one-sided beat down. Only a fool would actually take this as a FOY candidate, or a complete nuthugger, which you probably are, judging by your sig, etc.

AT any rate, Calzaghe is sloppy as hell in the ring. He's a good fighter, no doubt, but he throws some REALLY sloppy punches. He reminds me a lot of Antonio Tarver.

I don't understand what you're getting at. Credibility of the posters here? Yes, that's what I do.

Credibility of Calzaghe? No, not at all. I'm just saying it the way I saw it. Anyone who doesn't think that Calzaghe punches sloppy is an idiot, because he does. Tarver does too, but that doesn't make either one of them bad fighters. In fact, they're both very good fighters, some might even say great, but I don't think we can go there for either fighter, and a showdown between the two will not make that so, either, in my opinion.

I meant the credibility of Joe not the posters...

I think Joe's marketability value has just risen 10-fold in America... he better be prepared for some serious figures in his bank account after beating the pride and joy of the 168 lbers, and the one that most Americans were banking on to do the business. The fact it was free-live-on showtime-at prime time in America also adds to the amount of exposure Joe now has... he must feel over the moon.
