If Porter adapts DISTANCE MANAGEMENT & TIMING; he'll be a problem for anyone...

Stop lunging forward, he looks like a kangaroo in the ring. For some reason he jumps and throws himself forward with every punch, and ends up through the whole fight like Maidana did against floyd in the ropes. Wasting energy and punches that land on the back.

If he adapts a good feel for distance and timing, he will be scary. He needs to channel all of that uncontrolled energy and be wiser with his shot selection. Somewhere along the way he fell in love with his Mike Tyson-esque persona and pushed aside the fundamentals. Once he incorporates the IQ part of the game (which he does have btw) with his gifted physical abilities, he'll be a problem for anyone.

Too much potential to discard him as a one dimensional wild hog. Imagine that bull rushing you with a thought out attack as opposed to throwing wildly and hoping one connects.

I do love his style and think he should keep it (my type of fighter), however, he needs to get a better feel for distance and where he will land when he throws. He needs to be conscious of making distance adjustments in the early rounds because he throws some heavy shots.

And then if he grows 3 inches and gets mayweather's skills he'll be really really good.

Maybe with smaller fighters, but with taller fighters it will be the same old story I guarantee it, plus I don't think he can change, he is what he is.

He reminded me of Mayfield. Kept on smothering his own work.

Exactly, Porter is still a great fighter who would beat a lot of guys, Brook just adapted well while porter smothered himself into clinches

He reminds me of Mosley. Just not as good or strong. Like a poor mans Mosley. When Mosley bounced inside like that, he made you pay, dearly.

Porter is good enough to have a good career in this OVERRATED ERA of boxing in which a Boxer is crowned "GREAT" by scoring an impressive KO against AVERAGE FIGHTERS especially if he is not from the UK

Porter problem is his Offense, it is too WILD, his defense is solid, he can avoid punches also impressed with the Tyson like movements to avoid punches but once he makes his opponents miss he doesn't know how to attack offensively especially against someone who can move and avoid punches themselves also his inside fighting is **** all he does is pretend like his opponent his hold him and start to move around inside and he moves his had wildly and puts his head all in your face this is why Brook was holding because while inside Porter was wildly move his head

Can he bounce back? OF COURSE it was a close fight, he did not get dominated or anything but he has to work on his Offense and fight more under control!
