Yanks do have a weird obsession with "athleticism".

New England needs to know how many squat thrusts a fighter can do before he thinks about liking them.

You know what i'm referring to when I say American. If I were referring to central, south, or canada, I would have said so.

Which is exactly my point and the problem. It's off topic so I won't say more on it, but it's incorrect and ignorant.

Bingo!!!!!!! **** the dumb ****, the more sound boxers usually win fights. Brook won because he had a great game plan and followed it to a T. Had nothing to do with nationality or ethnicity!

It's not though, The United States Of American is the only nation in the western hemisphere that has "America" within its title. Hence why people refer to the usofa as AMERICA sometimes. Your are just fueling the trendy PC movement

My point is that i see American fighters relying on athleticism for longer during their careers. And I think that culture plays a large role in boxing, Americans like to see the knockout, so fighters are encourage to bum rush and attack for the quick entertainment. Aside from mayweather, hopkins and ward. I see very few great technical American boxers. And last night was another example

Like I told a person already earlier in this thread, correcting a misconception has nothing to do with sensitivity.

Once they raise the bar and fight athletes of a higher caliber, they don't have the technical makeup to hang. We saw this last night with KEll brook out boxing porter who looked one dimensional and honestly fought like an amateur. We also saw this with gary russell jr against lomechenko. I see this happening with deonte wilder as well, he is simply utilizing athleticism to win fights, NOT once have we seen him box. I think low level competition for too LONG is the root cause. That or trainers. A fighter needs to gradually increase competition at a slow progressive rate. Not C, D, C+ type pattern
America also has Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward, Bernard Hopkins, and many others who are very well-schooled. Kind of blows apart your theory there.

Crawford didn't beat Gamboa because of athleticism...that was a pure ring IQ show.
