Kell Brook won a world title at the first time of asking on Saturday and is now homing in on a domestic grudge match with Amir Khan.

The Sheffield man took on one of the most daunting challenges available to a British fighter - a world title fight against an unbeaten American in his own country - and came out on top.

He beat Shawn Porter via a majority decision in California to take the IBF welterweight belt in his 33rd career fight without defeat.

Throughout his time as a professional Brook has called out Khan - a former Olympic and world champion - but the Lancastrian has snubbed him on account of his rival having not proven himself at the top level.

American boxing really doesn't allow much room for any other champs from different countries. Kell brook knew that. Khan popped first and seeing as how you have many American boxing fans, myself included, that don't see much value in boxers across the water it left brook in the outside looking in. They know how little room they have and it bothers them

Khan has been fighting much better opposition for much longer than Brook. It's an irrefutable fact.

Brook starting calling Khan out and Khan rightfully put him in his place and told him to step up before challenging him. Khan was at 140 at that time also lol...

Now both are in the perfect position at the right time to face one another...hopefully nothing gets in the way of it.

I ****ing love when there is legit dislike between fighters. Add in that Khan is almost guaranteed excitement, and this would be an awesome fight.
