I consider Andre Dirrell at least a former WBC champion, unofficially, on my scorecards. It doesn't mean anything to anyone, but I saw with my own eyes Andre Dirrell beat the 168 WBC champion in 2009. He never really lost it either, but after what happened after Abraham I imagine he would have been stripped eventually because of the long lay offs. So he is a former WBC champion, unofficially.
Amazing how Anthony Dirrell won a title before Andre

Let's be real Dirrell was champ and he got robbed. Dirrell's career path is prime example of careers getting ruined due to robbery. Imagine if he had got the victory he deserved. And we could of got the mouth watering fight between Ward Dirrell.
Shame.Comment

If he had got the victory, his career still would have gone the same way. He was in the Super Six...Comment

I remember, despite his somewhat b*tchy behavior against Froch, being seriously impressed. Then when he mostly put it together against Abraham I was really excited for the eventual Ward/Dirrell showdown. He looked like the only real threat to beat Ward.
I couldn't name one person he's fought since. I don't even know how many times he has fought.Comment

"injury"? Dude didn't fight for 2 years after the Abrahm DQ. If it was some sort of fake injury don't you think he would have continued with the super six, and chased all of the lucrative paydays that were available to him? No, he decided to sit it out and pass up millions of dollars because he was really committed to faking neurological problems.
Thats like saying that you fake being a manic depressive drunk Larry.Comment
