I disagree. I think there have been times where guys have decided before the fight they were going to take a fall. Lamotta did it, Liston did it, I'm sure other people could name more. (Lamotta in the first, maybe only? fight he was ever stopped in)

Has their been fixed fights, yes, but mainly in the past when the mob had huge ties to boxing. Now a days, I doubt it. Lacy was fighting a fighter that many under rated his experiance and toughness. It happens, a fighter can look like king kong, or look like the best boxer ever then he steps up in class to meet his equal and gets best. It happens, and one never really knows what going to happen in a fight untill it takes place, cause anybody can rise to the occasion and fight better then they have in the past. Or a fighter can come out of nowhere and get a brake to fight a big name and take advantage of the oppertunity and win or look good in a lose.

Many times as I, chose a boxer based on his career and how hes fared against other styles of his current opponet to make a descision. Of course I take into account both boxers, skill, boxing, defence, staminia, chin and power level wehn deciding who will win or should or could win. I also take into consideration how long its been since their last fight. Their a lot of factors to why people belive one fighter should win over the other. It takes knowing the fighter and having knowlege of boing, to know what to look for to consider who is going to win. And of course you can make a couse with out knowing the fighters but you see somthing that you think he is going to win and that could make you chose that fighter to win, or maybe a lucky guess to who wins it happens.
