Thurman and Khan's powerful combo's would wreck brook. he can't deal with combo's well. fights upright like he's climing a ladder got poor head movement its just 1 - 2 - duck. repeat. flat footed. not good lateral movement he like walks but has poor timing. his long body is open for Thurman and Khan's body shots. he got good defense but just not slick enough.

I love Thurman he is definitely a future king at WW, but I saw a weakness in the Karrass fight where he got shaken badly. I couldnt help but think if that was a Maidana, Pacquiao or Brook it would be over, id expect Brook to frustrate him with the jab and because of Keith's mentality he likes to please the fans so Id expect him to open up and get over aggressive. I think he would leave himself open to the straight right hand, the power makes it a 50/50 fight though. But id slightly favor Brook.

I don't think that's a major problem. Thurman recovers too fast for someone to follow up and that's why Soto Karass still couldn't do anything after he caught Thurman. Also, his defense looked better in the Diaz fight. Diaz couldn't catch him at all.

I think a lot of people are underrating Thurman's defense, chin, and recovery. Despite what some people say about his chin, Thurman has only ever been down just once in his career and in some of his recent fights, he was taking hard hits and was never in any serious trouble.

If there's anybody who needs to work on his defense, it's Porter. A day before the Brook fight, I was watching his match with Diaz and I realize how easy Diaz was able to land his shots on Porter. Some people haven't noticed this but there were also many times where Devon and Paulie managed to land some shots either during his attack or after it (though they lack the power Brook and Thurman has). I even posted this on the official board before the Brook fight took place. Some people should have seen this coming. He also just kept running into Brook's counters too. This wouldn't have done him any good against Thurman either.

By comparison Thurman is much harder to hit. His footwork, counter punch, and power makes it hard for his opponents to land shots without taking some hard ones themselves. When he allowed Chaves to initiate contact, Thurman's punches were the more effective ones and that's how he was eventually able to knock him out.

But I will say that Brook has pretty good reflexes. He managed to dodge a lot of Porter's hits so I wouldn't be surprised if he dodged some of Thurman's too.

This fight is a lot harder to call but it's one I definitely want to see now more than Thurman-Porter.

I'd slightly edge towards Brook because he has really good reflexes and timing, which would stand him in good stead to land big on Thurman first. The thing is though, at some point Thurman is going to land something significant on Kell too and at the moment it's an open question as to whether Brook can withstand that type of firepower.

Make no mistake though: Brook has some power and he's accurate - it's not a fight without risk for Thurman.

I hope this fight happens soon. Brook showed good stamina last night, and he did manage to stun Porter a couple times. Thurman would give him a different puzzle to solve. Thurman is an explosive combination puncher who likes to create openings with his movement. Both can be dangerous whether they're leading or countering, so the first guy who loses focus may find himself looking at the lights.

Agreed, it would be a great fight.

Porter threw everything but the kitchen sink at Kel and barely connected with any full on, truly well positioned power shots to the head. Why would thurman?
