Honestly, this thread is a prime example of how people can be so ******. Dude thinks anything that Calzaghe says is an excuse... did you ever stop to think perhaps it does cause a hinderance to have hand problems in the past, or to have a 5 year age disadvantage, or to have the whole press against you, or to fight at 2am if you arent used to it (but both fighters were)...

I mentioned that I wasnt a Calzaghe fan before, and I actually agree with what Lacy said before the fight, that Joe can slap his punches... and still do believe that... however I simply cant deny Joe now, the excitement value alone for me is enough to make me a fan...

I neither liked nor rated Calzaghe before the fight, but i have to give the guy credit he put on a really good show.

With regards to Lacy - The guy was so ridiculously slow it was unbelievable. No head movement, no foot movement and no class. For once, it was a US fighter who was ridiculously overhyped and the European guy who had the real quality.
