Comments Thread For: Andrzej Fonfara Inks Deal With Al Haymon

It wouldn’t be a week in boxing if Al Haymon didn’t add another fighter to his vast stable. The latest signing for the high-powered adviser is light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara, Boxingscene.com learned Thursday afternoon.

The signing of Fonfara begins the foundation for Haymon to begin staging a series of light heavyweight bouts, which will benefit current lineal champion Adonis Stevenson, who is currently without a dance partner for a forthcoming title defense in the 4th quarter of 2014. Like Stevenson, not fighting Kovalev was the best decision of his life

It's going to be Fonfara vs Dawson, and winner gets the Stevenson rematch. They are both taking tune up fights first though.

I don't think the verdict is out yet regarding his power. He's knocked out plenty of guys and knocked down plenty more, including Stevenson who has a decent chin from what I've seen. Problem is, we haven't seen him fight enough top tier light heavy's, but the ones he has fought, he's stopped. A fight against Dawson, Cloud, or Pascal will give us a good indication. I agree with you that he is a tough dude though.

I enjoyed watching him against Stevenson, the man has no quit in him, tough dude. Hopefully the Dawson fight gets done, that is a nice match up, Dawson probably the heavy favorite but Fonfara would make him work for it!
