There really is no sound reason for the hate he gets. He gets trashed for having lost to Rigondeaux... But it's Guillermo fcking Rigondeaux! The Rigo fans that do that are doing a disservice to Rigondeaux. He's legend, MASTER boxer, one of the most decorated boxers ever. There should be absolutely no shame in that.

Donaire is limited, hasn't improved. Look at Froch and Maidana, both have improved, it's sad that Donaire who's more physically gifted hasn't.

I was critical of Donaire because he always appeared much larger than his opposition on fight night. He definitely deserved the FOTY and had a great run. I was wrong about that but thought he would lose to rigo because he didn't appear to be super skilled. It was nitpicking and Ive let it go.

Lately, I think its the blowback because of the excuses after the rigo loss and the poor performances. The shoulder injury BS even made the crowd BOO.

Like a lot of fighters on NSB that get super hyped-he's not as bad as his detractors say and not as good as his backers brag.
