Rest in peace to Diego Corales and Arturo Gatti, 2 of the all time warriors who wore their hearts on their sleeves and left everything in the ring. Responsible for fights like Corales vs Castillo(which I had the privilege to attend) and the Ward vs Gatti fights, these were 2 men who would essentially fight to the death. So what does it say that both of these great warriors were stopped by Floyd Mayweather when their corners had to waive the white flag and throw in the towel to stop the fight?
When Floyd fought Corrales he was undefeated and had never been knocked down before, Floyd dropped Corrales 5 times and his corner had to stop the fight in the 10th rd. When Floyd fought Gatti it was one of the most precise clinical executions that you will ever see, and his corner had to stop the fight after the 6th rd. In the post fight interviews both men were nearly brought to tears and praised Floyds greatness.
