With much talk about not if but when bitter British middleweight rivals, Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr. will fight one another, Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan 17-1 (10 KOs) has stepped in with an offer of his own to face the son of the former WBO middle and super middleweight champion in October.

Eubank Jr, 24, had been pencilled in for an eight-round contest on the ‘Magnificent Seven Fight Again’ show on Oct 25, promoted by Frank Warren, in Liverpool.

I think as long as Eubank Jr. stands by his word and takes on the best UK competition that he has said he wants to fight, there should be no controversy in his choice of opponents or his or his father's bold statements. Sr. is a bit nutty anyways. His statements have to be taken with a grain of salt. He's only trying to build his kid up in his own peculiar, unique way.
