Abril has not fought since Mar. 2013 and his most important resource is clinching/holding making his fights very boring. He has been probably the most insignificant champion in the last decade or so.
Arguably lost to Rios? This dude reeks of Mexican.

Abril looks like a boss in the first photo and he is going to have a great night. Tatli is nothing special. Just a basic fighter with solid fundamentals.

it would be very entertaining to watch abril against a much larger man, so he couldn't hold.

it would be very similar to seeing ward at CW or HW. it would be more entertaining if he were overmatched and losing.

          odd look.

ward's obviously the better stylist and fighter. he's much more dominant. abril has been in close fights. i don't call ward the prince for nothing.

rigondeaux, likewise, is a dominant stylist. he will be most exciting at 130, where the bigger men will make make up for their lack in class with chins and punching power.

call me a sicko, but i'd love to see miguel vasquez get chased around the ring and eventually beat up by a guy like margarito. scratch that; by margarito himself.

i don't know if abril made it to american TV, and i doubt it. vazquez somehow makes it to american TV.

i watch these guys and think, "why the hell are they even on TV?"

There's an IBF eliminator on this Fridays FNF between Nugaev-Shafikov (who just lost to Vazquez)

I'm not calling Nugaev Margarito..... but he's a very entertaining fighter. A straight up action fighter. He's put on some great shows on ESPN in the past year and I reckon that may be as close we get to someone chasing Miguel Vazquez down like Margarito

Abril gets a lot of hate on here. Like, he gets so much hate.... people don't even talk about him and he's forced to defend his title against an undefeated fighter in Finland.

I give mad props to Abril. Right now he is the definition of world champion. He was going to fight Eduard Troyanovsky in Russsia before this, and now that that fell apart..... Tatli in Finland. Respect!

I would of preferred the Troyanovsky fight, though. He has potential to be a devastating body puncher and I do not see anything special in Tatli. But we'll see.
