Comments Thread For: Brook's Trainer Views Porter Bout as 50-50 Clash

Kell Brook’s trainer Dominic Ingle believes the Sheffield man's world title clash with Shawn Porter is a 50-50 fight – but is confident his man has the tools to rip the belt away from the American in California, live on Sky Sports from 2am on Sunday.

Brook finally fights for his first world title after a frustrating period in his career, with three fights against previous title holder Devon Alexander cancelled due to injuries.

The unbeaten Sheffield star has arrived in California after completing his training camp in Las Vegas, and Ingle says that the 28-year-old could not be better prepared to claim the title.

For someone who has insider knowledge Ingle has too many ifs for my liking. He doesn't sound confident his fighter can deliver but I like his honesty. He's credible and knows Brook has not fought anyone. Porter is a good fighter he just used to fight the wrong fight. You don't try to out jab taller fighter. Now that he's fighting his fight he will be difficult to beat.

Well I did tell you people from inside the Brook camp/gym had stated they dont have high hopes for Brook, there's no massive hype surround him or constant attention.

Brook is a good fighter, from what I have been told is that he has a very shakey chin and if he gets clocked big he'll go down easy.

Ingle is calling right IMO. He's not inflating Kell's chances the way that they do in the US. He's giving props to Porter and calling it as a 50/50 fight. That's honest & accurate.

You probably got that from me. I have watched Kell's last 10-15 and I have no doubt in my mind that Porter is going steam right through him.

I actually agree with this. I think Porter will be catching quite a few punches while trying to apply pressure.

Well if you think that you aren't taking all the attribute differences in to account, cause this aint no Paulie job.
