Anyway, to answer the original thread question. Lacy is indeed one dimentional, but how do you stop a one-dimentional wrecking ball from coming at you? Lacy is a meat-grinder and Calzaghe will be butchered tonight.

i used to think so, but now not as much because he's improved on his versatility. he might not be the most versatile boxer ever, but i think that he's shown a little depth in his last couple of fights.

working a jab, working up and down the body. also i've seen him make some adjustments in the ring, which made it easier for him to get inside of Reid.....

Calzaghe is by far the better technician but boxing i think is going to be short lived in this fight........

lacy has the power to **** calzone up, all he needs to do is get the jab going early to take out Calzaghe's jab, and to set up those short power punches in clean combinations. lacy will make adjustments after the first few rounds with calzone, then the fight will turn ugly...joe gonna take some stick, he'll lean back in the later rounds, probably the tenth or 11th, after putting up a heroic fight

No. He has shown in the past that he has varying skills, like a good body attack, good power, good combos, and a great chin.

Problem is, tonight Jeff Lacy totally choked. Perhaps he overtrained, or was lacking confidence. Either way, he froze under the spotlight and he could have done a lot more. I could probably count the combos Lacy threw on one hand. This is very disappointing for him...

BUT...cong**** to Calzaghe. I knew he could win, though I picked Lacy. Calzaghe should get SOME respect (not the amount that ****sucker Farhood is doling out to him, but some).

Lacy gets hit too much and his career will be short if this keeps up.
