  • The Jermaine Taylor Curse

I was reading the recent article on Jermaine Taylor/Sam Soliman and it reference him only losing to undefeated fights. But after beating Jermaine Taylor each of those fighters went on to lose two fights afterwards.

Pavlik beat Lockett but was then dismantled by Hopkins.

Froch got a narrow decision over Dirrel but went on to lose Kessler.

And Abraham was DQ'ed against Dirrel but most people refer to the Froch fight as the first fight he truly lost.

I just thought this was kind of interesting.

    More like a Hopkins curse..

    Tito
    Taylor
    Winky
    Pavlik
    Tarver
    Joppy
    Dawson

None really did much after Hopkins was done with them

Not really much of a curse since Hopkins and Froch have had a lot of success after (Hopkins - Tarver, Winky, Pascal, Cloud, Shumenov. Froch had Bute, Kessler and what was it, 80,000 fans for the Groves rematch? )

I didn't mean the fighters were ruined by Taylor but more of the fact that all of them lost their undefeated after beating Taylor.

But totally agree that majority of Hopkins victims go on to do next to nothing.

Ward cursed dawson. Dawson volunteered to come down to 168. Ward didn't drain him. Chads choice.

Stuff happens but not because of a curse in my opinion.
