Klitschko vs Briggs Why was this fight not stopped?

Why did the reff not stop this fight? I just watched the fight for the second time since it happened and it is a massacre. If Briggs has any brain damage later in his life, we will know why(I hope he does not).

Yeah someone should have stopped it.. It was a one sided beat down and Briggs showed a monster chin but not much else.. He had no business going the distance, especially with a guy that has a granite chin like vitali who is nearly impossible to score a late ko on

He stepped up for the Lewis fight because he was a legit opponent. Briggs is a dumpster fire.

Late in the fight he was basically a punching bag.. Corner should have stopped it.. But I agree he never appeared seriously hurt which is probably why ref and doctor didn't stop it

No effective counters or consistent jab was his downfall. They know Vitali fights usually don't go the distance so they let the people have Briggs. Briggs had the physicality but no skillset to match, but I guess that does that to you a few rounds in with Vitali

This fight cost Vitali the HEAVYWEIGHT ko percentage & it was a travesty that it wasn't stopped on at least 5 occasions in the last 4 rds or so. Vitali got no credit for utterly destroying Briggs who was a former champion. Vitali Klitschko has done this to 90% of all of his opponents yet all you hear is how inept they were.. when they were rendered that way by him.

90% to 95% of his entire opposition NEVER had done to them what Vitali did to them... that's how you TRULY measure an opponents worth.. the way all of the morons here do it is complete & utter opinionated nonsense. I deal with facts.. i'll leave the opinions to the haters of the Klitschko's.
