  • Comments Thread For: Sam Soliman-Jermain Taylor Set For October 4th

Australia's IBF middleweight world champion Sam Soliman will make his first defence against celebrated fellow veteran Jermain Taylor in early October.

Victorian Soliman, who took the title away from Germany's Felix Sturm earlier this year, will fight former world champion Taylor in a venue to be announced on the United States' East Coast on October 4.

Whoa, Taylor is a bigger payday than GGG.

Espinoza kind of implies it's not going to be on Showtime. Then where? Is ESPN doing boxing again?

Soliman talked about big money and I don't think ESPN will put a lot money in this.

Soliman has next to no power, if Taylor is going to be permanently damaged from a fight it won't be this one.

Yes! This is going to be an amazing fight, great way for The King to show the American fans how good he is! This will be a bad night for Taylor but what a great way for Soliman to introduce himself to Us market. Go Sammy!

He said better deal. So until they release purse information, it could be anything... I.E Fight Taylor for a little less than Golovking, but have a better chance at winning instead of getting flattened and another potential pay day.

After this fight is a mandatory and he wouldn't make as much

I may be wrong but 12 rounds taking a lot hits will be worst which fast KO.
