Chris John of Indonesia retained his WBA Featherweight title with a unanimous decison over former unified champion, Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico Saturday in Indonesia..

John, gaines the highest profile win of his undefeated (37-0-1) career. Marquez who was listed in most pound for pound rankings has fought through promotional difficulties that eventually led to his titles being stripped and being forced to fight in Indonesia for just $31,000.

Scores were 116-110, 116-112 and 117-111.
