  • Comments Thread For: Dirrell Warns Bika About Looking Ahead To Froch Bout

Anthony Dirrell (26-0-1, 22 KOs) says he's 100% ready for his rematch against WBC super middleweight champion, Sakio Bika (32-5-3, 21 KOsK), this coming Saturday, August 16th, at StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Dirrell pledges that in this rematch bout, he'll do things different and he will show that he is ready to be the new champion. Last December they fought to a twelve round draw and each fighter believes he did enough to earn the victory.

Bika will NEVER get Froch anyway. Froch is 1, possibly 2 BIG name fights from retirement. Bika has zero pulling power.

Andre ward is the undisputed super middleweight champ. Hes beat everyone that is carryin belts now. Dirrell is too flat footed. He has the power to hurt bika and the hand speed but he needs to stay off the ropes and use movement. If he frustrates bika he can get bika disqualified because that guy is dirty and rugged.

Not nearly enough pulling power, especially in Las Vegas or MSG which are the only places Froch seems interested in. He's talking about fighting the likes of Chaves Jr. Bika is a zero.

Andre who? Anyway if Bika gets past the guy a fight with Froch in Vegas would be huge! Undisputed championship in Vegas would be great for Froch and the fight would be a war. Then that guy that used to box Andre Ward can cry about how he he beat both these guys and could beat anyone if he wanted to but there is no point in fighting anyone.

It's a pipe dream. A Bika fight would not do anything like the numbers Froch is looking for, especially after filling Wembley. I'd like to see the fight too, but Froch is looking for a serious PPV bout. Chavez brings massive numbers of Mexican fans, Bika not so much.

I would rather see Froch vs Chavez Jnr anyway to be honest. Froch could even retire now and nobody would blame him. A big fight in Vegas against Chavez would be the ideal way to go out, I agree.
