Lopez is a much harder fight for Khan than Guerrero & Alexander stylistically. believe that. Bad choice if so...not much is gained by beating Lopez & it's a harder fight.

Lopez isn't southpaw & knows how to throw them hooks...he can pressure Khan much more effectively than Guerrero & probably hits harder.

Ya'll need to wake up if you think it's a weak choice...type of fight Khan would look over if he didn't have Virgil in his camp talking sense to him.

& if Brook magically beats Porter then take Brook & forget about Floyd unless Floyd literally signs the paper in front of him.

Khan is lucky he is in an ok position...but bad matchmaking could fck him over & unfortunately he isn't bright enough to know that.

But good point...Khan isn't fighting till December...November at the earliest...so If Lopez is fighting in September it ain't Khan...

i may be splitting hairs, but josesito is a more relevant / better fighter than collazo in my opinion.

prime collazo would beat lopez, but josesito's the more viable fight today.


khan's being moved like a guy with an approaching shelf life. don't take losses, try and look decent, and hope to god that you get a fight with floyd mayweather.


khan's one knockout from the twilight of his career. he may even retire on the spot. i think any top fighter will stop khan. his chin is somehow worse than it used to be. he's getting hurt and stunned by fighters who aren't known as punchers. his legs are markedly slower than he used to be.

khan's never been a great talking, but he's even starting to sound a bit punchy in spots.

Tweet is saying only Lopez is fighting in September, not Khan-Lopez is happening in September. Khan fight would happen in December.

Lopez and Collazo are about on the same level, this does very little for Khan if he wants to get a super fight. Lopez got lucky against Ortiz, that's his only win of note at 147 pounds.

That is not a weak fight, Lopez is a hard night for anyone of similar size/stature. He has a high work rate and good fast combinations, that is a tough style for Khan. It is a fan friendly and exciting fight, it isn't quite championship level, but a good fan friendly fight and a different set of problems for Khan and Hunter to tackle, and gel together further as fighter/trainer. There is no rush, and if there is anyone who deserves a little leeway its Khan, he has been fighting at a high level for a long time. He seems to get criticised for opponent choice very quickly, and the same people say he is garbage, which doesn't really make sense to me.

Lopez has lost to guys with KO power but this is a interesting style match up, remember not that long ago Lopez stopped and broke Ortiz jaw, and had Maidana in quite a bit of trouble. Legit fight.
