If Maidana loses, Broner is going to have to wait for him to have a tuneup. If he beats Maidana after he loses 2 fights in a row, he'll get next to no credit for it, and would more than likely be receive more criticism than praise.

Broner hasn't done anything since that last beating, and Floyd isn't hurting Maidana, he's making him better. Broner needs to get past Taylor first and quit farting around on the media.

He wouldn't be the first to eat off Floyd's plate:

""There's a couple of other guys out there right now that I'm thinking about that are free agents. You look at Mayweather's last like four fights and so forth, if we can fight one of those guys that he went the distance with and knock that person out and be impressive, it puts us even closer to Mayweather because that's the fight we really want eventually," stated world-class trainer Freddie Roach, who discussed his preference of opponents for Manny Pacquiao when he makes his anticipated return to the ring on April 12 the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada."

Two losses in a row to Mayweather won't make him less of a fighter. He still wins over Broner easily unless Broner stops his flatfooted imitation of Floyd's defense and throws more punches

You're post is spot on! Broner's shoulder roll is not as good as Floyd's because he doesn't move his feet as well, and he didn't make Maidana pay for missing. Maidana was still gassed after 9, but Broner had taken too many punches by then to be effective.

Maidana's looking good (natural) at 147, and Broner looks 5hit at that weight. How are they gonna make a rematch without a bogus catchweight? Plus, Maidana doesn't need to fight Broner again, there's no unfinished business there for him. Marcos should set his sights on evening the score with Khan @147.
