If these rumors are true, then ugh and yuck! Ward needs to move on to bigger and better things and leave the past behind. It's now time for him to move up in weight and clean out the 175 lbs division which is loaded with name recognition and talent. Since the Super six tournament, he has only fought twice in the past three years.

While I mean no disrespect to Kessler; However Andre at this point of his career has very little to prove against the semi-retired and past his prime Mikkel Kessler who is no longer at his physical fighting peak. Moreover he needs to stop ducking and avoiding the best fighters at Lt. Heavy.

In my opinion and at least on paper, this fight is a total mismatch.

I guess there isn't any big fight out ther for him right now so he fight again with Kessler as sellable, good sounding stay busy fight. If this news are true...
I would watchit of course.

And Ward said in the past few years that he want to go up BUT just if he totally fits into that weightclass. If anybody thinks that he' duckin anyone from 175 is clearly delusional...
I guess if he would fight with a 175lb-er at catchweight or 168 the reason of the hate would be "Ward drained them doe...". Even if his opponents would want it at 168 or catchweight (example: Chad Dawson fight).

Well, according to Golovkin's promoter the fight did not make financial sense.
