Unbeaten WBA featherweight champion Chris John (37-0-1, 20 KOs) has retained his title with a unaminous decision over former unified champion Juan Manuel Marquez (44-3-1, 33 KOs). John was able to effectively work from the outside to win 116-110, 117-111 and 116-112. More to come....

Somewhat my thoughts. I'm not shocked that JMM lost, but at the same time I find it hard to believe that those are unbiased scores. Curious to see the fight or at least read about it.

I love it... I've only seen Chris John fight once, and I wasn't that impressed. I expected a relatively easy victory for Marquez. I'm not a big fan of Juan Manuel or Rafael, and I think both are slightly overrated as far as P4P rankings go, so this is great.

I heard JMM was deducted 2 points for low blows...that John was able to control the fight early. JMM tried to rally late in the fight but was not successful.

People who watched the fight JMM was boring and John deserved the UD win.

The ref deducted two points for low blows? Too bad it's not Joe Cortez. Cortez let JMM low blowed Pac 100 times and never deducted a single point
