Are people really forgetting how close the first fight was? If it wasn't for the KD, it probably would have been a draw. Honestly I think the machine would win the rematch in a close one. Danny deserves full credit for winning but lets not make it seem like he dominated. It was a really close fight that could easily go a different way in a rematch. And the reason Danny is taking a lot of criticism lately is because he cherry picked Herrera for a "homecoming" but got gifted a decision in which he clearly lost and then instead of redeeming himself, he instead fights a lightweight that had no business being in the ring with him. That's why he is getting so much hate.

^^^This, all i hear in interviews is Angel saying how Danny destroyed Lucas which is far from what actually happened.

Matthysse fan here, and I agree. Would I like to see a rematch? Yes, because the first fight was close and I truly believe Matthysse should beat Danny Garcia. But he didn't.

Herrera is the only rematch Garcia should have to fight.

And Matthysse fans, seriously just stop this, you guys said Danny would be airlifted out of the ring after 3 rounds after a brutal KO, but Danny clearly won the fight... seriously you guys are in some serious cringeworthy state of denial, resorting to conspiracy theories about a ''freak accident'' causing the eye to swell just deal with it Danny won fair and square, Matthysse can still rule 140 once Garcia moves up.

Garcia beat Lucas, that's true. It was close, but Danny win. That's fine. No one can seriously deny that. With that said

            1. It was a mutual beating. Stop acting ******; it was a tough fight for both
            2. If Lucas fans can admit he lost; then Garcia fans just be honest and admits Herrera outboxed him very clearly. It wasn't even that close.
            3. In Lucas fans' defense, Garcia DOES hit low consistently just like Mares. He did it against Lucas and against Khan.
            4. Lucas is not a bum. He is by far Danny's biggest win and should be proud of it. By diminishing Lucas and acting like it was a domination, Garcia fans diminish his resume.

Garcia and Lucas are 1-2 in the 140 division. Garcia is about and should move up though. Lucas, not so sure. He's short.

It seems to me the ones with a bigger problem are the noisy Garcia fans who instead of saying Danny won a CLOSE fight insist that he beat the hell out of Matthysse and that Garcia is an A+fighter while Matthysse is a C- fighter. As a Matthysse fan I have no problem saying Garcia beat him fair and square and I know if there was a rematch I would again bet my money on Matthysse to defeat Garcia because I still believe Matthysse is the better fighter and has a better future in boxing than Garcia.

Matthysse fans are really bitter and fragile at this specific moment.

He won't keep that undefeated record long at WW. That's assuming he fights other WW's, not JWW's the way up.

I just want to know why Danny was allowed to hit Lucas when he was tangled in the ropes. Any other time that's occured, the ref immediately jumps in and lets him stand up. For some reason Danny was allowed to get a shot in

I would have loved to see your guy school Garcia at 140-147.

Can you imagine Angel trying to spin Cotto's head with Cotto being an actual Rican and too confident and stoic for that crap?
