1-David Lemieux - he is by far the hardest most explosive puncher of the group
2-Peter Quillin - doesn't have the boxing IQ but he does have that snappy explosive power
3-Curtis Stevens - hard hitter who has put guys out cold
4-Gennady Golovkin - he hits hard but mostly breaks goes down with thudding blows methodically but has never really iced a guy out cold like the guys above, GGG also in the ishida fight it looked like ishida took a dive.
5-Danny Jacobs - He has pop but I wouldn't call him a big puncher at 160
1 - Golovkin. He iced some very tough and durable guys like Lujuan Simon (who went the distance with a prime Arthur Abraham), Ishida, Gaele and Macklin. He doesn't have lots of first or second rounds knock-outs because he used a more measured and pacient style, he doesn't go for the kill early and burn a lot of energy (like Lemieux did with Rubio). He was also sick when he fought Rosado and still hurt him more than Quillin did (the knockdown was more a cuffing shot than a real clean punch)
2 - Curtis Stevens. A lot of first round KO's, against somewhat ordinary opposition. But he was already a feared puncher in the SMW division and if he catches most guys with that check-hook, its good night. I would like to see his fight against N'Dam first, but his power has been very good so far. And he carries his punching power late, as shown against Tureano Johnson.
3 - Peter Quillin. He is very heavy handed, like shown against N'Dam, Winky Wright (who was old, but never hurt like that before fighting Quillin) and Guerrero. The problem is that his technique is bad, he's not accurate and has an abysmal punch-rate. But when he hit guys clean, he hurts them.
4 - Lemieux / Jacobs (Tie). This is hard, Lemieux really put guys to sleep earlier in his career, he probably has the most brutal KO's of the bunch (maybe tied with Stevens), but he failed to stop or even hurt really the very vulnerable Alcine. He also unleashed all of his punches against Rubio and failed to hurt him. Also went the distance with Upshaw (who has been stopped by lesser punchers before). Jacobs is on a good run, looks very powerfull, but his opposition isn't inspiring.
that would be my guess anyways. lemieux is definitely number one after that its hard to say, ggg and stevens are interchangeable imo as are jacobs and quillin.
