The televised portion of the card in the US opened with action in the Featherweight division.

Making it five in a row since a brutal seventh round knockout loss to WBC Bantamweight titlist Shinsuke Yamanaka, 34-year old former WBC Super Flyweight beltholder Tomas Rojas (44-14-1, 29 KO), 127, of Veracruz, Mexico, picked up ten rounds of work in a dominant unanimous decision victory over 28-year old Irving Berry (22-6-2, 9 KO), 127, of Panama City, Panama.

Definite fight of the year right there! Both guys left it all in the ring and despite the complete P.O.S. that had it 11-1, Rodriguez was the rightful winner.

I seriously have a feeling that they threw over 2000 punches as well. It might be a compubox record, it was just ridiculous.

Fight of the year. no doubt about it. Awesome fight and it wiped away the stink that was the Showtime card.

Guess my ****** is WAY behind. The fight is pretty good so far, doesn't surprise me that Takayama lost. He's fighting in foreign territory and he has little power.

Pinche Chihuas! Asi es como se controla una division. Give me Oswaldo vs FR Jr. and I will be happy. Now that would be pure dynamite.
