Comments Thread For: Photos: Mike Tyson Comes Face To Face Balrog of SF

In these handout photos provided by Warner Bros., former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson appears to be having a ball at the recent Comic-Con. Tyson was there to promote his 'Mike Tyson Mysteries' cartoon series. During the convention, Tyson came face to face with Balrog, a well known character from the extremely popular Street Fighter videogame series. It was always said that Balrog's character was patterned after a young, up and coming Tyson.

That Balrog weirdo looks like the lovechild of Blade and Danny Glover.

Tyson deserves to be boxing's #1 ambassador. He's a media darling, warms my heart to see him smiling more these days.

That's true. The boxer in Street Fighter 2 was named M. Bison in Japan which stood for Mike Bison.

The final boss was named Vega.

But out of fear of being sued in the United States they changed the names around in the American version of the game.
