Will the ref in Germany be fair to Pulev or will Wlad be allowed to constantly hold?

A certain amount of clinching is normal, but some boxers like Wlad and Andre Ward have been allowed to get away with too much of it, and it's not fair to their opponents.
I dont think wlad will clinch much with pulev who isnt an inside fighter

its really only been a few fights were wlad clinched to the point of it being foul worthy. its usually against the shorter guys that crouch low and rip combos on the inside. pulev isnt that guy. this fight will be fought from the outside with little holding imo

I dont think there will be excessive holding in this fight. Clinching? Yes. Neither guys work a lot on the inside.

I think it will be a jabbing contest, and Pulev will soon be found wanting. Wlad will jab him silly and knock him out.

Yeah I'm doubting there will be much of the clinching, both are big men Wlad won't need to do it against Pulev although I do believe we will have spells of clinching but nothing like the Povetkin fight.

It will be a jab fest imo. Sprinkled with the occasional right hand.

I will be very, very disappointed in Wlad if he fights Pulev dirty. After all the criticism he justly received for the Povetkin fight and all his claims to redeem himself for it, he better not go right back to his ******er style.

Yeah, I was gonna say, the style match-up doesn't make for a clinch-fest.

I got Wlad to win, but Pulev is a pretty good boxer with a very good jab, it could be interesting.

I just hope the ref is fair.

I know Wlad will probably win anyway, but I hope Pulev has a fair chance with a ref who doesn't permit Wlad to hold.

Mayweather was permitted to hold as much as he wanted in his recent fight with Maidana. Crooked referees like Bayless hurt the sport.

You have to look at the styles. Pulev is an outside fighter who clinches when it gets tough inside too. But neither guy I don't think will want it inside. Shouldn't be a problem. Thompson was allowed to just grab the back of Thompson's head and look like he wa trying to force him into a BJ. Two outside fighters in Germany only a couple inches difference in height. I actually don't think this is going to turn out to be a problem the way they match up.
