Danny Garcia’s bout with Mauricio Herrera earlier this year was supposed to be a homecoming of sorts. The 26-year-old Philadelphian was fighting in Puerto Rico, where his family is originally from. Yet Herrera gave him a difficult fight. Garcia won by majority decision, and some voices questioned whether that was the proper verdict.

Garcia believes it was the correct decision, yet he’s not looking for there to be any debate regarding his bout against Rod Salka on Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the main event of a card being broadcast on Showtime.

i'm truly and honestly confused about this whole danny garcia. who is he? i have never in my life heard of him yet all of boxingscene keeps posting about him. is he supposed to be some funny end of the week random joke or something? and there is no fight this saturday so i don't know what's going on.

I think Garcia is going to try to just walk him down and KO Salka, like Porter did to Paulie, because he knows Salka has no power. He wouldn't do that against Mathysse.
