Comments Thread For: Dirrell Vows To Make Things Right in Bika Rematch

Anthony Dirrell (26-0) says he is ready to make things right when he faces WBC super middleweight champion Sakio Bika (32-5) in a rematch next Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The first fight ended with a draw (Bika 114-112, Dirrell 116-110 and 113-113) and although the bout was explosive and exciting, Dirrell says he should have won it.

how the hell does he think he won? he clearly lost. this isn't as bad as cleverly thinking he was winning against kovalev or hatton thinking he was winning against pac but pretty clueless.

The fight was literally a draw in landed punches. They literally outlanded each other in 6 of 12 rounds each. Bika outlanded Dirrell in power punches in 6 rounds, Dirrell outlanded Bika in power punches in 6 rounds. Coincidentally, one outlanded the other in total punches in 6 rounds each.

There hasn't been a fight more fitting of a draw in the last 5 years, than Bika vs Dirrell. So I don't know where do you get the "clearly lost" statement. The fight verdict was about as clear as a blind man's eyesight.
