many of you really dont notice the guys subtle defense do you? often when he gets hit flush he's hurt, otherwise he'll take the punch just right on the forehead or cheekbone

if you hit him on the chin with a strong punch you'll hurt him, he has a good chin no doubt, but it's no margarito

although he looked terrible vs chaves overall/physically

I'd say Marquez without a doubt, maybe Thurman...maybe.

thurman has a much better chance of stopping rios than marquez, but i see the thurman fight ending up like with zaveck, unless rios has slowed down so much that his defense is gone, good chance thurman has tho

No, Thurman has the best chance. A Provodnikov fight might take it out of him too.

As to Marquez, he didn't KO Alvarado or hurt Bradley and Rios has a better chin than both.

there are precautons for when a punch gets through, that's the point of tucking your chin, being balanced etc

rios gets hurt plenty when caught flush, but he has underrated defense, on think defense only consists of shoulder roll or blocking, he knows how to take a punch as they say

if you want to see an iron chin, look at margarito, he takes combo's head-on, square on the face, he doesn't roll his head or his shoulders, he just gets punched if it goes past his guard

Maybe Thurman can, one thing Thurman has also is his vicious body punch, he could KO fighters with that body shot or he could break Rios down with the body then head.
One thing with Thurman is his chin seems shaky but idk maybe well see how he is if he fights someone like Chino and gets hit with a overhand right.

Was just about to say a body attack would be the way it would get done.

Although if he fought a Thurman-level power puncher for 12 rounds, or went through a war with Provodnikov, that's a recipe for an Abdusulamov situation
