Former light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver’s attempt at heavyweight contention will continue with a fight on Sept. 19 in San Antonio Texas, according to the fighter’s Twitter account.

This will be Tarver’s third bout at heavyweight. Tarver had left the 175-pound division behind after suffering a rematch loss to Chad Dawson in May 2009. He returned 17 months later at 221 pounds, taking a 10-round decision over Nagy Aguilera. [Click Here To Read More]

I'd watch, and likely be entertained, but the trash talk would reach truly sad proportions. :laff2:

I wouldn't think it could possibly be a bad matchup even if the fight itself ******, lol. Both of them think it's still 2005-6!

word how better a way for briggs to say "hes back" than to beat up on tarver. Tarver is a wwwaaayyyyyy better fighter than what briggs have been currently fighting.

Some guys are forced to fight on to pay off Uncle Sam...Tarver has to pay off Uncle Al Haymon for that outstanding Vegas debt. Tarver is in a bad way.
