"It was tongue in cheek back then. I was being a bit cheeky and you can take those comments with a pinch of salt. What I will say though is this guy can ****ing punch: he's dangerous and if he can be avoided we'll avoid him. I'll stand by that and I don't give a ****. But I'll fight anyone. I'll fight Golovkin, of course I would. At Middleweight he's dangerous but you don't know what he's going to be like at super middleweight do you? So what a great fight. Having said that, with what I've seen lately, he looks like he can punch at super middle."Last edited by Weebler I; 08-07-2014, 12:43 PM.Comment

People are forgetting that Froch was super small time, until fairly recently. Even in the UK, he had very very few fans, until the Bute fight, that is. And of course the Groves scraps made him a big star there.
So Froch was only fighting everyone when he had no choice, when that was the only way he could make money.
No way is Froch going to agree fighting to GGG. If the price is right, is what every boxer says for every fight. The point is that Froch is admitting that GGG is way too dangerous.Comment

That's why I like Froch: he always is straightforward. The full quote...

That's the only negative I see from those comments, the thing is if Froch gets a good offer then he would drop the Chavez or De gale and fight GGG, the problem is at what weight? But Froch would definately make other fighters in around his weight avoid him with comments like that.Comment
