It was a very close fight, from what I remember, but the knockdown sealed the win in Gatti's favour. When a fight is that close, and you score a late knockdown, the guy that gets knocked down is most likely gonna lose.

GOOD CALL, the KD did separate the 2 fighters, I thought Branco was much better technically than Gatti, he was landing counter shots at will, the only problem was that Branco had zero punching power, while Gatti started to land crushing hooks about 1/2 way thru the bout, which did some damage

It was a good fight and it could've gone either way. Branco brought it to gatti that night but, after the KD it was over.

i also scored it for gatti by 1 point, obviously a draw without the KD. however regardless of how the score came out i thought branco got the better of the fight.

Huh? There's no way that fight was a blowout. It was very close and could have gone either way until the knockdown. I just thought from the first post that the poll was asking who won the fight.
